BWV 997
Snap, Crackle, Bach Rocks!
The Prelude begins what follows,
The coming suite of dance…
The strings fill the hollows…
Within the valleys of the past.
What lies ahead is thematic
Melodic to the Fugue…
Along the staff it’s mimicked…
On the principal it is linked to…
It’s simply tripled timing,
Sarabande stately moves…
The heart beats when aligning…
Three over four will do…
The fourth begins the movement —
That captures curious intrigue…
In hyper-focused moments…
Let my fingers bleed with Gigue…
Then paired as two comes Double —
Count 6/8 to the groove…
With blinding speed in trouble..
My right hand becomes confused…
But, still my life grows richer –
By the letters, B, W, V.
Following, the numbers,
997, heavenly sings…
